Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Monthly Roundup} September 2017 Fashion Favourites

September 2017 Fashion Favourites, a monthly roundup of all the outfit ideas I have shared throughout September. This roundup is the ninth installment for 2017 but the 23rd installment since I started back in December 2015. Regular readers of A July Dreamer know how much I love sharing outfit ideas. I am a true believer in the statement that ‘Fashion fits all‘, find your style and work it. Don’t compare how an outfit looks on someone to how it should look on you, people are different and unique. Work the thing that makes you unique and don’t be sorry about it.

September 2017 Fashion Favourites

September has been such a varied month in that I have been able to do men’s fashion posts too. We were fortunate to be contacted by Boohoo Man to choose items from the Big and Tall range. This was such a blessing because we’d struggled to find fashionable clothing in XXXL size for my father. We were truly happy to see that the Big and Tall range stocks that size and more.

Fashion Favourites

In our collaboration with Boohoo Man, we were able to pick up a couple of items for my father. Though my brother is very tall, his also very slim too so this was more applicable to our father. It was nice to pick a couple of T-shirts and a lighter coat for autumn. The Boohoo Man Autumn outfits and Big & Tall posts both discuss the items and our thoughts on them.

In preparation for autumn I shared tips on staying stylish in autumn without getting a new wardrobe. I highlighted the importance of layering even though I wasn’t the biggest fan. One thing I am not a fan of is wearing tights because I have sensitive skin and itch. I often avoid them when I can though I have a pair that is just perfect and itch free.

As the weather in the UK had turned earlier than most places in Europe, I shared the must have autumn jumpers. One thing one can never go wrong with for autumn is having stylish and warm jumpers. I love jumpers because I wear them practically throughout the year with summer being an exclusion. I am a summer baby so I prepare to stay warm and felt it was important to share in my September 2017 fashion favourites.

At the beginning of the month I shared how one can rock white during the autumn season. Though technically fall is mostly orange, pumpkin and dark brown colours I like going against the norm. There is no valid reason why one can not wear white in autumn and I will be rocking it for sure.

And there you have it, a recap of September 2017 Fashion Favourites. What was your favourite outfit?

I really want to get more into style. I was just raised on a farm and I have always been comfortable in jeans and a t shirt.

This Boohoo Man clothing line has lovely, comfortable-looking fashions for bigger and taller men. When you wear clothes that fit not only are you more comfortable, but you feel more confident too! I’m so glad to see more clothing choices for all sizes.

I need to encourage my boyfriend to shop at boohooman. He wastes money at all saints, which wouldn’t be an issue but considering he tends to follow the same look each time so he’s practically throwing his money down the drain!

I’ll have to check out Boohooman for my husband and son! And yes, I wear white all year long. My favorite outfit is jeans and a t-shirt, which is basically also what I wear all year long.
