Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Featured Brand} Brantano Footwear

Brantano Footwear is a Brand I have become quite fond of over the last year or more. It has been a privilege to have collaborated with the brand albeit via PRs it’s been an honour nonetheless. In the November Sponsors post  I shared a little history about Brantano and here is the snippet.

Brantano started out as a small family owned business in 1953 but did not reach the British shores until 1998. They have been passionate about shoes for 60 years starting with a small factory shop before expansion.

The expansion of Brantano footwear was the idea of bringing amazing brands in one place Brantano. In their collection you will find the likes of well-known shoe brand Clarks. Though other brands I am not too sure about I know Clarks and the quality of shows they make. The pair of ankle boots that I picked in my previous collaboration with Brantano was Clarks Brand.

Brantano Footwear Range

Talking about collaborations, though not as much as {House of Fraser}, I have collaborated the brand a few times. I know I am starting to sound like a broken record but it’s always a humbling experience. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been collaborating with brands for years or you’re just starting out. I think it is always important to remember your beginnings but also appreciate the present with excitement for the future.

Brantano Collaborations ~ Women

As mentioned already, I have collaborated with the Brand a few times, firstly it was in May 2016, I shared the ~ Holiday Outfit. At the time of this collaboration I was in Seoul, South Korea for a getaway and it was fun sharing the outfits. The weather was absolutely lovely and called for some awesome Summer Sandals to be worn daily. Brantano has a lovely ranger of ladies sandals which I fell in love with and had to include in the collaboration.

The second collaboration was November 2016 and I shared my Winter must haves. Though winter was not yet in swing then, the UK weather seemed to suggest otherwise so knee-high boots were required. People who know me know I love my knee-high boots, they are easy to wear but can be hard to style. With knee-high boots I know what works for me and what doesn’t.

Whilst knee-high boots are still my favourite type of boots, in November 2016 I decided to ankle boots and created Fashion additions. Ankle boots are not always my first choice because I never found the ones that suited me. I have tiny ankles so with all boots I stand in the middle and it’s more obvious in ankle boots.  Brantano saved the day when I spotted cute ankle boots which sit right below your ankles. It has been fun parading in them every day, they are now my everyday shoes.

Brantano Collaborations ~ Men

For the latest collaboration I chose men’s ankle boots. I asked my brother which he loved and turns out he had a secret wishlist with Brantano. He chose these awesome men boots which are just so perfect for him to wear to work. I know once they arrive, he will definitely be rocking them.

It has been such an honour to have had these opportunities to collaborate with such an amazing brand. I am excited to see what 2017 looks like as I look to continue current relations and develop new ones.

**Update: 28-Mar-2017,Brantano has gone under administration and all links have been removed or replaced with other brands**
