Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Christmas Gifts for Homeowners

With only a few days left before Christmas, we’ve been busy thinking about perfect Christmas Gifts for Homeowners. With a few of our friends becoming homeowners in the last couple of months, we’ve been seriously thinking about the perfect gift. Whilst cards and food will be greatly appreciated, we’ve been thinking along the lines of useful gifts. Gifts that will help as they look to create a home and gifts that can be used beyond Christmas.

Being Harris Brush Blogger Ambassadors, we have a load of ideas for the perfect Christmas Gifts for Homeowners. We are thinking along the lines of quality paint brushes and rollers as well as tips to help with decorating your home. Whilst the majority of the gifts are from Harris Brushes, we think they make the perfect Christmas Gifts for Homeowners.

Christmas Gifts for Homeowners form Harris Brushes

Whether you’re a first time homeowner or a veteran, everyone needs tips on decorating their home. Harris Brushes have put together this Decorating Guide to help all the novice decorators. The guide is easy to follow, written in plain English and all the tools can be purchased from Harris. I personally think this guide would make such a perfect gift especially since it is free to use.

With 3 months of winter ahead of us, it can be hard to think what to start with first when renovating your new home. Though it takes quite a while for the paint to dry in the winter, you can take it one room at a time. We recommend the paint roller set which makes painting a simple task and little to no mess. If painting the interior is not high on your list, you can start by upcycling some home furnishing with the Upcycle Kit.

Christmas Gifts for Homeowners

We are recommending Harris Brushes not only because we are Blogger Ambassadors but rather love their products. They have been servicing the UK public since 1928, over 90 years of passion to make decorating easier. Harris not only stores brushes and rollers but other tools too and tips to make decorating easier.

For the homeowners who do not require to paint their home, we have other ideas too. Things like prints to hang in the home are always a great touch provided you know the colour scheme. I love this where is home map print which is just gorgeous item to hang in the living room. Other gifts that we gave our friends included gift baskets with all their favourite items, from toiletries to sweets.

Christmas Gifts for Homeowners

You can truly go to town on what to gift homeowners for Christmas, from a Netflix subscription to a nice living room throw. We always love checking out Prezzybox for some house warming gift ideas and they never fail. When in doubt bring their favourite drink or anything monogramed to mark the special occasion. Or better yet, you can give them gift cards to homeware stores so they can pick their own perfect gift.

What items would you include to our list of the perfect Christmas Gifts for Homeowners?

It’s nice to gift something useful for someone when they get a new home. I tend to give gift cards they seem to work well and allow them to chose what they want.

I think this is a very good idea as they will be used as well, and as getting your own home is a pricey experience, there is often not a lot left over to accessorise the home to start with.

I love gifts for the home. I will always choose things for the house rather than myself. I love painting and upcycling!
