Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

Five Things Week 23

Today could not have arrived quick enough, this ending week just felt like it went on forever. I have been so busy that I have been working past 11pm every night. It’s good to have a free weekend all to myself doing absolutely nothing but this post. I can promise you that this is not a weekend of productivity but of recharging my batteries before Easter. April seems like a month of ‘can’t catch my breath’ nor would I want to change anything because such is life. For the Five Things week 23, I will share the happenings of the ending week and future plans. Before we start, let’s review how I did in week 22.

Five Things from week 22

  • Book tickets for Zambia. SUCCESS I fly out a few days after Easter
  • Plan a trip for the Easter weekend whether home or abroad. SUCCESS, I will be spending it with my parents.
  • Start planning my 30th Birthday getaway {Bali or Hawaii??}. SUCCESS, we’ve booked our dates off at work and started search for Villas and flights.
  • Visit my parents and get hair done. Postponed to Easter weekend.
  • Explore Paris after work Friday and over the weekend. SUCCESS, I will be sharing more on the blog next week.

Five Great Things to Happen

  • Last Friday went shopping in CHAMPS-ELYSÉES in Paris and bought amazing lipstick from Guerlain.
  • Last Saturday finally managed to get onto the Eiffel Tower and went on the way to the summit
  • Had an incredible collaboration with Jacamo: HERE and HERE. My Brother and Dad both love their new shoes thanks to Jacamo
  • Another incredible collaboration was with OOH Accessories, I am so in love with this handbag. At work everyone wants to know where I got it.
  • Another collaboration was with Simply Beach who sent me some lovely bikini bras of my choice from the brand Freya.

Five Things that sucked

  • The entire week has been so busy I have not had a proper nights sleep without working up in sweats.
  • Been suffering with toothache since Tuesday, I visit the dentist and all I get is treatment plan and nothing more
  • Mother Nature called and I answered now I am hurting everywhere.
  • Someone hacked my eBay account (yes eBay) and changed all the details. But thankfully they did not do any damage (that I know of). Decided to close the account before they really do any damage to my identity
  • Amazon delivered my parcel to a neighbour who is rarely in and 2 days on I still haven’t managed to get my parcel. I am checking daily and still nothing, really pissing me off.

Five Things for next week

  • Train my new assistant before Easter break and before her holiday
  • Travel to my parents for the Easter break
  • Do some shopping for my extended family
  • Write all the posts I have been keeping as drafts for months
  • Relax

I am busy enough as it is so it makes sense for me to plan to relax more during the Easter break. Five Things week 23 has been an interesting week for sure, excited to see what week 24 will look like.

Someone hacked my sisters eBay account and attempted to purchase items worth a lot of money. Thankfully she was alerted to the transactions! Enjoy Zambia x

Thank you and sorry about your sister, how ridiculous to back eBay accounts but I guess that happens too

oh wow that sounds like one hell of a week! Paris so beautiful, I bet that was amazing. I always find Amazon are an absolute pest for parcels, mine always deliver my dog’s food delivery to about 10 houses away, so I have to drag 30kg of food up the street!

Oh shoot that’s annoying, I don’t understand why they don’t offer an appropriate time for people to choose when items should be delivered
