Shopping for glasses online is becoming more popular as we demand for things with the click of a button. Practically everything can now be bought or reserved online and that has become the norm of our generation. We are in the most technologically advanced era, its suffice to say our day-to-day life has some catching up to-do. In most respects it has and in others, it’s coming to terms with it but do we want it all? I am someone who has a 50/50 love/hate relationship with technological advancements we’ve made so far. Shopping online has made it so much easier to have access to many things at the click of a button. But at what cost? We’ve gone and lost that human connection you get from shopping in store.
Whilst I have this complaint about what we’ve lost due to shopping online, I have also embraced the ease of access it has brought. Today we live such busy lives that it’s hard to make time to just pop into your opticians and get your eyes checked. These days it’s more unless it’s affecting your work many companies want you to do it in your own time. When you do it, it’s either your glasses are not available or you’re unable to purchase them due to the price. And this is where shopping for glasses online comes in, because you can get prescription or non-prescription glasses online.
Shopping For Glasses Online
The brands featured today are all brands that I have worked with in the last 3 years, I will be starting with the latest. All these brands are online eye glass shops offering prescription and non-prescriptions services. These brands are all affordable and majority offer many designer brand frames at affordable prices.
Perfect Glasses
Last month (December 2016) I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the brand for a possible collaboration. I hadn’t heard of the brand prior to being contacted but I was happy with what I saw. Perfect Glasses are the UK’s largest online providers of sunglasses and prescription glasses. Launched in 2009, their aim is to not only be the most affordable online shop but providers of quality products.

CheapAss
Prior to being contacted by CHEAPASS, I had not heard of the company before. I did have to do a little research (google) on the company before collaborating. I found the website easy to navigate and was able to quickly choose the glasses that I liked. The prices are really affordable, even though it isn’t the season for sunglasses it’s still good to purchase them now.

Glasses Shop
Before being contacted by the company, I had never heard of the glasses shop. They are an online eyeglasses shop offering doctor quality prescription and non-prescription glasses. What I love about these glasses is how they frame my face and offer great protection for my eyes from the sun. Glasses Shop makes high quality designer eyewear available for every customer who wants a pair of eyeglasses customized for them.

Adlens Glasses
Prior to be contacted for a possible collaboration, I had seen many ads on the TV about Adlens view plus and I was curious. Adlens ViewPlus glasses are amazing non-prescription reading glasses which don’t only look cool but you can adjust them to your needs. I think this is what makes them standout of the crowd, you can adjust each lens dependent on the need and not have to keep going to the optician to keep changing lenses.

Firmoo Glasses
Firmoo was the first eye-glass shop I collaborated with and I remember how happy and excited I was to be collaborating. I was very overwhelmed with the choice of glasses when I visited the Firmoo website. Firmoo has a huge selection of glasses which are very stylish, affordable and cheek. I think they have glasses and frames for everyone. You can also choose prescription or non-prescription glasses or just the frames. They come in different sizes and they deliver internationally but please check the website to see if your country is there.

And there you have it, 5 brands you can use when shopping for glasses online. Once you get that prescription from your optician, you can pick your favourite designer frames.
Have you ever heard or bought from these brands?

I don’t wear glasses, but find glasses to be the one thing i’d prefer to go to an optician etc, and get general advice. Just me though! x,
Anosa says
Oh absolutely this post is not about replacing the optician quite the opposite as you would need them first to tell you have lens you need then using that information you can then utilise the online resources
Lyndsey O'Halloran says
My husband really needs some new glasses so thanks for some great tips!

Your collection of specs/ sunglasses are very nice. Looks like you have tried many brands.

I sure have and can’t recommend them enough
Mama Owl says
I’ve only ever bought glasses from my opticians after my eye tests. I’d consider buying some online if I found a style I liked though.
Anosa says
That’s reasonable decision for sure
LC @ A Life of Authenticity says
I’ve never bought glasses on line, but your post has helped me to reconsider that. I’m still a bit nervous because I like seeing what I look like in glasses and the touch and feel of the glasses. You do miss that tangible aspect of shopping when you go online.
Anosa says
Oh absolutely and I think it should continue. You can buy your first pair in person and try different ones. Once you know which style is your favourite you can use that as your basis for buying online
Hannah Latoya Bond says
These glasses look great. I don’t wear mine a lot as i wear contacts x
Anosa says
These are awesome brands for sure
Carmen Hensley says
I usually buy my glasses from Zenni online! So much easier to buy online

It sure is, I am not familiar with Zenni but will check them out
Sarah Bailey says
I have thought a few times about buying glasses online as I have heard from others who do and really love it, but I have yet to give it a try. I really like being able to try on before I make a decision. The brands you have featured have some beautiful options though x
Anosa says
It’s understandable but technology has come a long way now and you can just upload a recent picture and use that as your basis for choosing which glasses will fit you best
Alicja(Architect of free time) says
I only buy glasses online, i hate all this trying and waiting. Love your pair from Firmoo.
However, i’ve never heard about any of the brands you’ve mentioned.
Anosa says
I am the same, don’t like waiting around
Rhian Westbury says
Some really great brands there and the glasses look lovely, my issue is I like trying loads of things on before making decisions with glasses x
Anosa says
That’s a good way to do it or you could upload your latest picture and that can give you an idea of how they will look on you
Blair Villanueva says
Thanks for sharing these glasses online stores! I have two prescription glasses: 1 i bought from Zac Posen, and the other is from GlassesShop itself! Luxury meets practicality 🙂
Anosa says
That’s the best description for these companies “luxury meets practicality”
Donna says
Good tips! I always feel I need to try before I buy but never have enough time!
Anosa says
And that’s what buying online eliminates. For most of these you can’t upload a recent picture to their site and see how it will look on your face
Stephanie Merry says
I have to wear glasses and keep thinking I should head online for my next pair x
Anosa says
You should for sure as there are many options these days
From Evija with Love says
