Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Featured Brand} Shopping for Glasses Online

Shopping for glasses online is becoming more popular as we demand for things with the click of a button. Practically everything can now be bought or reserved online and that has become the norm of our generation. We are in the most technologically advanced era, its suffice to say our day-to-day life has some catching up to-do. In most respects it has and in others, it’s coming to terms with it but do we want it all? I am someone who has a 50/50 love/hate relationship with technological advancements we’ve made so far. Shopping online has made it so much easier to have access to many things at the click of a button. But at what cost? We’ve gone and lost that human connection you get from shopping in store.

Shopping for glasses online

Whilst I have this complaint about what we’ve lost due to shopping online, I have also embraced the ease of access it has brought. Today we live such busy lives that it’s hard to make time to just pop into your opticians and get your eyes checked. These days it’s more unless it’s affecting your work many companies want you to do it in your own time. When you do it, it’s either your glasses are not available or you’re unable to purchase them due to the price. And this is where shopping for glasses online comes in, because you can get prescription or non-prescription glasses online.

Shopping For Glasses Online

The brands featured today are all brands that I have worked with in the last 3 years, I will be starting with the latest. All these brands are online eye glass shops offering prescription and non-prescriptions services. These brands are all affordable and majority offer many designer brand frames at affordable prices.

Perfect Glasses

Last month (December 2016) I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the brand for a possible collaboration. I hadn’t heard of the brand prior to being contacted but I was happy with what I saw. Perfect Glasses are the UK’s largest online providers of sunglasses and prescription glasses. Launched in 2009, their aim is to not only be the most affordable online shop but providers of quality products.

CheapAss

Prior to being contacted by CHEAPASS, I had not heard of the company before. I did have to do a little research (google) on the company before collaborating. I found the website easy to navigate and was able to quickly choose the glasses that I liked. The prices are really affordable, even though it isn’t the season for sunglasses it’s still good to purchase them now.

Glasses Shop

Before being contacted by the company, I had never heard of the glasses shop. They are an online eyeglasses shop offering doctor quality prescription and non-prescription glasses. What I love about these glasses is how they frame my face and offer great protection for my eyes from the sun.  Glasses Shop makes high quality designer eyewear available for every customer who wants a pair of eyeglasses customized for them.

Adlens Glasses

Prior to be contacted for a possible collaboration, I had seen many ads on the TV about Adlens view plus and I was curious. Adlens ViewPlus glasses are amazing non-prescription reading glasses which don’t only look cool but you can adjust them to your needs. I think this is what makes them standout of the crowd, you can adjust each lens dependent on the need and not have to keep going to the optician to keep changing lenses.

Firmoo Glasses

Firmoo was the first eye-glass shop I collaborated with and I remember how happy and excited I was to be collaborating. I was very overwhelmed with the choice of glasses when I visited the Firmoo website. Firmoo has a huge selection of glasses which are very stylish, affordable and cheek. I think they have glasses and frames for everyone. You can also choose prescription or non-prescription glasses or just the frames. They come in different sizes and they deliver internationally but please check the website to see if your country is there.

And there you have it, 5 brands you can use when shopping for glasses online. Once you get that prescription from your optician, you can pick your favourite designer frames.

Have you ever heard or bought from these brands?
