{Fashion Monday} May Fashion Favourites

I am still pondering how in two days time it will be June I mean, it feels like only a few days ago we were starting May and I was sharing the April Fashion Favourites post. It is already the last Monday of the month and I am sharing the May Fashion Favourites post which makes me realise there is no time to waste (relaxing is not time-wasting it’s a productive action for one’s soul body & mind).

When I shared the April Fashion Favourites post, it was a Bank Holiday in the UK and most commonwealth countries. Today is the last Monday in May and it too is a Bank Holiday in the UK meaning I do not have to go into work today, I can chill and relax but knowing how fast the year is moving I decided to do something productive whilst relaxing and I shall be revealing that in the coming weeks.

may fashion favourites

During the month of May, I had put together 4 fashion posts and one Father’s Day gift ideas fashion post. It was a lovely month to be sharing fashion ideas because almost all of the outfits are as a result of me being on holiday in Seoul, Korea and having a blast.

May Fashion Favourites

One Short two outfits – The weather in Seoul was absolutely blasting for spring, I think if in ever had such kind of weather in the UK we would be basking in warmth and happiness more often than the miserable and down-casting feelings we get with the dreary weather of ours. Because I do not get to wear shorts as often as I would like in the UK, I made sure to wear them everyday whilst in Korea. I had mentioned previously on the blog that, I would spend the majority of my time in Korea clubbing and true to my word we did that daily. So it became essential for me to put together outfits that I could easily pull from day to-night and shorts being my favourite items of clothing I did just that.

bodycon pencil skirts

Forever21 bodycon pencil skirts – I love skirts like the next person but bodycons were ones that I avoided like the plague because I did not know how to dress them until I had no choice but to buy bodycon skirts in forever21 whilst I was on holiday in Korea. After buying the first bodycon I dresses it with a bodysuit and went out clubbing, I got a lot of compliments and my confidence went up the roof so much that the next day I went and purchased 2 more bodycon pencil skirts. I have since found it easy to dress bodycon pencil skirts and hoping soon I will have the motivation and courage to dress bodycon dresses.

From Day to Night – As I have mentioned already, whilst in Korea I got the knack of putting together outfits that I could easily dress from day to-night without much effort. So when I returned I was thinking of how to dress any ‘dress’ from day to-night by looking at what I had in my closet and that’s how this outfit was born.

father's day gift ideas

Father’s Day gift ideas ~ Daddy’s choice – Though I have added this post with my May Fashion favourites, it is a gift idea guide than a fashion post. I do love men’s fashion and when my daddy chose the grey suit, grey tie and black shoes I knew I had to include it in my May Fashion favourites post.

Monochrome Inspired – I always dress in monochrome whether intentional or otherwise and I have noticed this about myself so I thought with the injection of colours that I am currently doing to my wardrobe why not share a monochrome inspired outfit with a tour of nude and rose gold. I mean what outfit doesn’t look good with rose gold accessories? With Nude it could be a hit or a miss but rose gold is always a winner.

There you have it, all the fashion posts that make May Fashion favourites post, which was your favourite fashion post? What is your style?

Great choices for May and for Father’s Day. I love that striped top it’s a great style that flatters the figure.
