Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Monthly Roundup} September 2016 Sponsors

September 2016 Sponsors post is a roundup post of all the Sponsors I had the privilege of working with. Sponsors of A July Dreamer come in all shapes and sizes regardless they are welcome. In the 3+ years that I have been blogging, I have made some lovely acquaintances with brands and PRs.

Though taken some time off from blogging, I did manage to work with some lovely PRs and brands. As mentioned already, sponsors come in all shapes and sizes; ‘content-providers‘, ‘product-providers‘ or ‘monetary-providers‘. There has been instances where it has been a combination of the aforementioned options and that is acceptable too.

September 2016 Sponsors ~ Content-Providers

Provided the content the sponsor wants to showcase on my blog matches my ‘broad niche’, I review and if happy I publish. Prior to blogging, I did not know that there was such a way to make money. For the month of September 2016, the following posts were provided to me:

Prescription Glasses: The Office edit ~ fashion-blogger in  me was happy to reach such well researched/written content for my blog. I don’t often wear glasses but it was interesting to learn how I can style up my outfits even with glasses.

6 ways to spurge this fall ~ Autumn/fall is in full swing so this content was well overdue. Like many a shopaholic, any tips offered in terms of spending, its like christmas all over again.

Splurge

No snow winter wonderland in central coast ~ Imagine that for the UK? We are sunshine deprived and though it doesn’t snow always, we still love our winter wonderland. As someone who just recently returned from a warm holiday, I am craving some sun and this content spoke to me.

Mori Lee’s Success ~ Though this person is unfamiliar to me I was really fascinated by the journey to success. I mean who doesn’t love a good motivational read, I mean who knows one day this might be you.

September 2016 Sponsors ~ Product-Providers

If there is one thing I am most fortunate about is that the relationships I have created in the last 2+ years has been a blessing. I don’t mean to brag or anything of that sort but I am grateful that this side hobby brings me so much. I work with a few brands every now and again and 90% of the time it’s House of Fraser (via PR) in this respect. So let’s see who is featured in this section;

Sparkle into September ~ I had mentioned previously of how I was meant to wear this dress for a wedding but it didn’t arrive on time. I am loving this dress and can not wait to show it off, anyone with a party please send invites. Sparkles are some of the things that I wouldn’t ever want to stop liking, like ever.

Curtains ~ have you ever bought made to measure curtains before or just curtains in general online? I hadn’t either, I was used to the traditional way of going to the shops and getting from there. When I was given the change to try out the service of ordering ‘made to measure’ curtains, I jumped at the opportunity. I had mentioned previously how I love having darker curtains for my bedroom, ordering online has made this much more easier.

September 2016 Sponsors ~ Monetary-Providers

My biggest source of income on the blog I would say are monetary & content providers at 50/50 ratio. I have detailed on my work with me page  what my fees are and what services I offer. It did take me a while to come up with the prices but I did and these have been working well for me.

Home Safety and Security ~ Who isn’t concerned about the safety of their home? All of us have some sort of security set up for our homes e.g locking doors and windows. I was happy to work with Panasonic again even via PR to share with you some of my tips. Our homes are our safe havens so it’s paramount that we put in place security and safety measures.

Though September was slow and chilled in terms of blogging, I had such great opportunities. I worked with great Brands and PRs, I am always happy to work with new/upcoming brands. September 2016 sponsors roundup post was fun putting it together and now sharing with you.

I am humbled by everyone who gives A July Dreamer and me a chance to work together.
