Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.

2017 Travel Bucketlist {Visit 17 places in 2017} Travels Thus Far

Visiting 17 places in 2017 was a travel bucketlist I put together at the beginning of the year. Though life can be complicated and we’re never sure if we will be able to accomplish set goals, that shouldn’t stop us from trying. Regular readers know how much I love to travel, just thinking about it gets me excited and rearing to go. I love nothing more than jetting off but I have realised Home has a lot to offer. I live in one of the most amazing countries on the planet which every day someone fights to get in. It has been my intention that for the remainder of the 2017 I focus on Home bound travelling. I wont completely give up on flying off abroad but I will be minimizing my visit to the airport.

2017 Travel Bucketlist {Visit 17 places in 2017} Travels Thus Far

As it’s been forever and a day since I last gave you an update on 17 places to visit in 2017, here is my update. I am quite surprised how much I have accomplished with only 3 full months left before the new year. I am hoping to tick most of the items off my list but it won’t be the end of the world if I don’t.

Where I have been thus far

When I last gave you an update, I had only been to Birmingham and to Budapest. That was February, over 6 months ago now and since then I have been to a number of places.

  • Bath, I had been wanting to visit for the longest time and two weekends ago I did. It is such a beautiful city, we were able to see the Roman Baths, the Abbey and many more places. I highly recommend this Victorian city, a must see for sure.
  • Bali, as 2017 was and is a momentous year for me I felt it was important to celebrate in style. I booked myself a 10-day break to Bali and had the most amazing time ever.
  • Berlin, for many years I had been waiting to visit Berlin and this year I just had to. I enjoyed visiting all the must see places including the remains of the Berlin wall.
  • Bucharest, an underrated city which is a must see and I can not wait to go back.
  • Budapest, it was a last-minute decision but a wise one for sure. I saw all the wonderful places but the highlight was spending almost 4 hours in a thermal bath.
  • Cyprus, this trip taught me so much more than I had thought possible. I realised I prefer to travel alone or max 3 people than 7. There is so much to see in Cyprus but also be ready some parts are no longer as beautiful.
  • Stockholm, one of the most expensive places to visit but it was definitely worth it.

2017 Travel Bucketlist {Visit 17 places in 2017} Where to next?

I have already booked my trip to Barcelona and I am so excited as its been on my bucketlist for the longest. Whilst places like Hawaii, Helsinki and Athens are not high on the list I am hoping to do them next year. Here is the full list of places left to visit. Cornwall |Cork |Lake District |Stonehenge |Athens | Barcelona |Helsinki | Hawaii.

What is on your 2017 travel bucketlist? Where have you been to this year? Do you have any more travels left? Home or Abroad?

That is a pretty impressive list! I love traveling and can’t wait to visit Europe again. I love the south of Spain and have not been there since I moved to the USA and I am dying to go back with the kids.
We went to the Dominican Republic for Spring, Orlando and Ohio in the summer , but my heart is set on Italy and Spain!
