April 2017 Fashion Favourites

The fourth instalment of the Fashion Favourites roundup post is the April 2017 Fashion Favourites post. It’s weird to think I have been doing these fashion roundup posts for over 2 years now. It started out as an idea to give my fashion lover readers a chance to recap on fashion ideas shared throughout the month. Now it’s one of the most viewed roundup posts on the blog. For 2017 you can check out my previous three: January, February and March. Which offers a recap of some of the easy to recreate outfits ever for my ladies. And most recently I have added in a few fashion posts for the gents in my life and new male readers.

April 2017 was one of the busiest months for me and it’s crazy to think it’s already almost over. Because of the busyness I found myself unable to blog for practically a week. With that I ended up doing this post late and not able to do a fourth Fashion Post. Part of me feels like I needed the week off blogging and part of me feels I let my baby (blog) down a bit. But I know it’s just as important to take a break as it is providing the right content for my blog. After all even God rested on the 7th day, I just needed the WHOLE 7 days.

April 2017 Fashion Favourites

I started the month sharing Swimwear for Everyday which was part of a collaborative post for April. Simply Beach has reached out to collaborate with A July Dreamer on their swimwear range from a selective group of brands. I opted for Freya who has some really awesome options for swimwear, Simply Beach hosts a wide range of brands. It was interesting to find how much I would practically all the pieces of swimwear I saw and gave me an itch for Beach Day.

One of them days was the second outfit post I shared but also aimed on sharing my deepest feelings. April is a month I found myself so busy and yet feeling extremely lonely and isolated. It’s a month I cried like God didn’t love me because if he did he wouldn’t have allowed this pain. But then as I write this I remember the sermon at the beginning of the year when we opened 2017 in church. The Evangelist said “God won’t take your troubles away but make it possible for you to overcome them“. He will make it so that you can; skip, hop or jump over the obstacles in life. I did feel a little bit better but part of me was still raw and thinking what kind of karma is this.

After all of the emotional rollercoaster I felt throughout April, I was glad to have some energy to share an outfit post. I had recently purchase a cute long frill-trim top from New Look in mustard yellow and I was eager to dress up. It’s awesome how some bright colours can brighten your mood and change your day completely. This mustard yellow long frill top definitely was exactly what the doctor ordered and glad it features in my wardrobe.

Jacamo Men’s Fashion #casual and #formal

It would be unfair to not include the two collaborative posts between Jacamo {via PR} and A July Dreamer. And whilst I didn’t exactly create outfit posts for men’s fashion I still wanted to include them. Majority of my UK based readers had already heard of Jacamo whilst others it was first time introductions. Jacamo is your man’s one stop shop for everything fashionable at an affordable price. I know my brother and father are looking again at items they like. These two have such huge difference in fashion taste but Jacamo still caters to both. I believe they are worth a visit and for women check JD Williams.

I am sad that for the last Monday in April I wasn’t able to share a fashion post. But I feel I can either be down about it or share more ideas in May as an added bonus. I do hope you’ve enjoyed the three outfits and are not too sad I didn’t share a fourth. With that being said of my April 2017 monthly Fashion Favourites, which was your favourite? What kind of outfits would you like to see more of this season?

That’s a really beautiful quote. I’ve never really thought about things like that.

Sometimes you just need some time off to face and deal with the problems in your life, or just to relax. You did manage to share an outfit post, and that’s what matters.
