Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Monthly Roundup} September 2017 Sponsors #thankyou

September 2017 Sponsors is the ninth installment of the monthly roundup, I want to thank ALL the incredible sponsors. I especially want to thank my amazing readers who time and again come back to support A July Dreamer. I am always amazed at how fortunate I am to have brands and companies want to collaborate. This hobby has now turned into a small business which is added income.

{Monthly Roundup} September 2017 Sponsors

A July Dreamer sponsors come in different forms; content provision, product or event reviews and sponsored post. For the September 2017 Sponsors, I will breakdown the sponsors into different categories. And for potential Sponsors who wish to collaborate, please review the ‘Work with Me‘ page for more information.

September 2017 Sponsors #events

September was a fairly busy month for us in terms of events we were invited to attend. We were fortunate to have been invited to attend a restaurant opening and a pre-marathon event. Franco Manca opened a new brunch in Oxford in August and we got invited to an exclusive dinner. The dinner was held in September on a Thursday’s and we had so much fun, we even got to make our own sourdough pizza.

Earlier in the month we attended a pre-marathon event held by Freddie, son-in-law of Sir Richard Branson. We made way to Branson estate in Oxfordshire and participated in the pre-training and enjoyed the talk. We got tips on exercising for a full or half marathon and nutritional needs to consider.

At the beginning of September we also had an opportunity to attend the Oxford Foodies Festival. It was out first time and we thankful to Sparkling Ice who were our sponsors for the event. They are an american company who makes lightly carbonated flavoured water with only 12 calories. The flavoured water has come a staple in my home and often have a bottle when I am out.

Content Provisional ~ September 2017 Sponsors

As mentioned above, on A July we accept content which matches the theme of the website. Parquet Flooring is a type of flooring I was familiar with but not seen for a while. This type of flooring was most common in grandparent’s homes and you can see why they loved it. It definitely brought back some awesome memories of my grandmother’s home in Malawi.

As the weather is getting cooler, I was happy to share some quirky date night ideas for autumn. I knew I could do with some of the ideas shared as the same old was getting boring. Some where some old classics and was happy to see them on the list.

There times when content provision is half and half from client and from myself. Though not a sponsored post, I wanted to include ways to combat stress when on vacation. Because most of us go on vacation and we find ourselves stressed out when we are met to be relaxing.

Is your heating on in September? I answered YES quite loudly because this been so cold of late. The British weather has been mostly ugly in the last few weeks with a couple of days of nice weather. It’s crazy to think before autumn most of us had switched on our heating, others are layering up. What have you been doing, heating or layering up?

How good are you at looking after your feet? I know I am quite rubbish at it, I know I should definitely be doing more for my feet. Most of us are on our feet from the moment we wake up until we go to bed. It was important for me share this content as I know most of us could use the tips.

Travel meets content

Before I share my travel related sponsors I thought I include this collaborative piece of content. What to do with your pets when you’re going away from home. I personally don’t have any pets because of my current lifestyle, I am never home to look after the pet. But this post shared some really good points that I hadn’t considered.

Travel related sponsors

Travel is a big part of A July Dreamer and I am always happy to collaborate with travel brands. My latest collaboration with Travel Planners allowed me to share the 10 things I want to do in New York city. I have been once to New York but it was for work and never got chance to explore this concrete jungle.

Holiday Gem reached out for us to share one memorable holiday, my sister-in-law Hannah shared her holiday gem. When I was young we went on many family vacations and mostly to our relatives. But one thing we lacked was pictures of those vacation with our extended family which is a shame. Hence why I knew my sister-in-law would be the best person to share her holiday gem. She definitely has many holiday gem but her visit to Lapland at Christmas stands out for her.

Fashion related sponsors

Regular readers would have already seen our September 2017 Fashion Favourites where we talked about BoohooMan. A few weeks ago Boohoo reached out to see if we wanted to review and promote the Big & Tall range. As daddy is someone who is big and tall this was a great opportunity for him to try out BoohooMan.

Thank you September 2017 Sponsors, it was an honour collaborating with you all.

I am not good at keeping my feet pretty at all. September is a month where my goal is to not have hear or air conditioning on, I try to do that a minimum of 2 months out of the year more if possible.
