Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{2016 Favourites} Top 10 Posts of 2016

Top 10 posts of 2016, a roundup post of the 10 most loved post in 2016 on A July Dreamer. I was reviewing my analytics to find out what you’ve all been loving on here to plan for the future. It’s important for me to continue providing you the posts you’ve loved the most whilst introducing new ones. The idea for the post is to see which posts I should continue and give my new readers chance to catch up on old posts. January is always a good month to decide which posts to continue bringing, which to refine and which to discontinue.

Top 10 posts of 2016 ~ 1-5

  • Fashion Travel Essentials #1.

As a regular traveler it’s important for me to have my list of Essentials down to a T. Sometimes I get to Europe on a moments notice and don’t have time to pack properly before I go. So noting down work I usually need has helped with my technique.

  • How I manage to travel so often #2

After receiving a lot of questions about how I manage to travel so often I decided to share my tips. I am glad these tips were well received and made it on the top posts of 2016.

  • Top Five Must See in Brno #3

Brno is the third largest city in Czech Republic, it borders with Austria and Slovakia. This city was the second city I visited in 2016 as part of my #take12trips travel challenge. I managed to explore  this city in one day and saw a lot, as a solo traveler I was cautious of what times I stayed out late. But it’s a beautiful city definitely worth the visit.

  • Tips to renew your bathroom #4

Though I am renting right now, it did not stop me from sharing tips to renew your bathroom. I think we all appreciate tips that help us spruce up our homes however we can.

  • Shake slim ~ Forza #5

Forza is a diet supplement that I tried out for almost 2 weeks and helped me lose some weight. I am all for losing weight the healthy way like eating right or visiting the gym but a little boost is also welcome.

2016 Winter face routine #6

Prior to blogging, I had no face routine whatsoever. I was content with soap and water, then slap on whatever my mother had in the bathroom. Because I have never (touch-wood) suffered from acne, I didn’t feel the need to invest in a face routine. Post blogging and I came upon so many beauty routines I had to create one for me and I have been creating since. When I remember I love sharing my face routine especially as the seasons change it’s important to adapt your routine.

Prague weekend getaway  #7

This is one of the most memorable trips of 2016, not that it was better than other trips but because it was the first. Prague was the first city I visited in 2016 and I think all the posts I shared on Prague are evidence of my excitement. It opened the year for the 13+ trips abroad that followed, it opened the door to the latent traveler in me. I have plans to go back to Prague and explore in different light and conditions.

The Day After #8

This outfit is one that was created without much thought but with great care and devotion. Putting outfits together and seeing them come to life (so to speak) gives me great joy. It’s even more pleasing when you don’t have to rack your brains but just pick something and go. Then when you do look back to find you’ve created a simple yet elegant style, ah yes that feeling.

Valentines Day Wishlist #9

Valentine’s Day will soon be here and lovers will prepare something special for each other. Whilst some of us will be eating the chocolates with a glass of wine watching an action movie or two. This post for me is bitter-sweet for me but I am still glad it made the cute of your most favourite.

Blue-Green Day #10

When January 2016 rolled in I had the best intentions to do more fashion posts with me as a star feature. But before Q1 2016 ended I had stopped, mostly because I have no one to do the pictures for me. Hopefully 2017 will be different now that I have a car and can get around. This outfit was simplest of them all but I felt good wearing it and taking bathroom selfies.
