Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Monthly Roundup} December 2017 Sponsors #thankyou

December 2017 Sponsors is the Twelfth installment of the monthly roundup of my dedication post to our sponsors. Not forgetting all the incredible readers new and old who continuously support A July Dreamer, I thank you deeply. You supporting the brands that support me makes me truly happy and I am grateful for that. To the sponsors, I feel blessed and fortunate to have an opportunity to collaborate together. This is not something I take for granted, I am eternally grateful and this is how I show my thanks.

{MONTHLY ROUNDUP} December 2017 Sponsors

I am not even sure where the rest of 2017 has gone to late alone where December 2017 has gone. It truly is amazing how time flies when you’re having fun and fun I have had this entire year. No matter how tough or hard life gets, somehow somewhere there is a light at the end.

Every single time I sit back, relax and think of the incredible sponsors, I am humbled. Collaborations with A July Dreamer comes in all shapes and sizes, but all are greatly appreciated. Here are some of the incredible December 2017 sponsors I had the pleasure of collaborating with;

simply beach

Fashion Collaborations

Simply Beach – it is always humbly when you’re able to work with a brand again. I was fortunate to have tried some of their swimwear outfits which I loved big time. This month we collaborated together on a wishlist post of items I have been eyeing for a while.

The Sweater shop – I was so happy to be contacted by the brand to choose an item from their collection. It was a hard choice for me honestly as I wanted everything they sell but settled for this Sweater. It is the warmest sweater I have ever owned and I wear it alone without jackets most days.

December wouldn’t be complete if one of the Fashion sponsors wasn’t featured in our gift guide. The beauty about this guide is that it is everything you need for those setting fitness goals for 2018. Thanks to Simply Swim we were able to put the guide for you to choose items for your fitness.

Gift Guide Collaborations

Speaking of gift guides, we were so fortunate to collaborate with loads of companies in time for Christmas. Those who know me know how much I love personalised gifts and thanks to Bags of Love, Contrado and Canvas Champ. They gave us ideas and our readers ideas on what gifts we could personalize for our loved ones.

Obviously the festive period can be an expensive time of the year for many families, we shared a collaborative on budgeting. Think giving some quirky gifts to your loved ones for Christmas whilst saving money at the same time. For those where money is no issue, we thought this piece of content on experience gifts was ideal. I have always loved the idea of experience gifts as much as I loved personalised gifts.

Christmas gift guide

As someone who love accessories I was happy to be sent a Joules purse to include in the gift guide for her. We loved sharing items we knew fellow females would love, like the sleep wear from Hunkemoller. JD Williams and EMP.co.uk gave us a budget and we picked me some lovely items including ankle boots.

Not neglecting the men in my life, we worked with Dobell where we chosen an impressive slim suit. My brother loves the slim fit and the quality of the suit, we love it too. We included other items in the gift guide for him that during this expensive time we might need. Northcash was an option for those who were in desperate need of some financial boasting.

Travel Collaborations

A July Dreamer end of month dedication post wouldn’t be complete without the inclusion of travel collaborations. As I have mentioned before, collaborations on here come in many forms; content, product or other.

A couple of weekends ago we had an opportunity to join a free walking tour in London run by Strawberry Tours. I couldn’t predict that the next travel collaboration would be on a film lover’s guide to London. What’s special about this you ask, it included the very tour we did; Harry Potter.

mexico

One of the many places I want to visit in South America is Mexico, and we were delighted to host this content. Not knowing where to start once in Mexico, here is 5 places to see whilst there. Part of the upcoming adventures worth checking out in 2018 is Tuscany in Italy. We’ve been asked to review and country house and couldn’t be happier with that and thanks to Click Stay we shared our plans.

Though not completely travel content but 10 Best Flowers in Spain is pretty close wouldn’t you agree? I have loads of plans for visiting Spain next year, in October I got a taste of Barcelona and need to go back.

Lifestyle Collaborations

Another part of A July Dreamer that is prominent is the Lifestyle section of the blog. We’ve been fortunate to collaborate with many brands in this sector and we hope it continues.

When we started the month, we shared our thoughts on shopping in store vs online and which we prefer. Obviously we are all different and even then sometimes, different moods call for different type of shopping experience. Not sure about you but after a bit of shopping I get hungry and always looking for somewhere to eat yummy foods. We were fortunate to be invited to sample some of the newly opened Rola Wala foods in Oxford’s Westgate mall.

Pinterest - Greenery

Throughout the year, I have found myself falling in love with the world of everything Pinterest. This pinterest study definitely gave me a penny for my thoughts and wanted to share with our audience. There are those who are good at pinterest and those of us who are not, since sharing is caring I did just that. Speaking of sharing, we put together our take on Random acts of kindness and shared Oxfam’s infographic.

Staying on the caring these, we shared this content on how you too can have fantastic hair. Plus we put together a giveaway to win a Gown from Damart UK who will send the gift to the winner. And because lifestyle is not complete without home content, we shared why memory form is good to sleep on. And ending with tips on how to choose the right headboard to match your home design.

That as they say is that, thank you to all our December 2017 Sponsors for your support!!

If you’re new to A July Dreamer or a potential partner who would love to collaborate, see Work with Me. I offer various types of collaborative opportunities and you’re welcome to ask for more details.

Sounds like you have had a busy month. We just went to Mexico for the third time – it is amazing! We went south of Cancun and visited Mayan ruins, cenotes, the beach, and much more. I highly recommend it!
