Looking back at each decade, I feel both ‘older’ and ‘younger’, I see the change in my features, the change in my way of life, the change in my personality and the experience itched on my face. I am grateful for the life I have lived thus far and excited for the life I am yet to live.

2026 - 39, (Home, England), I am ready for this final year before my 40s but also ready for this next decade.
2016 - 29, (Oslo, Norway), this decade was about self discovery and building the life I dreamt about. The life that I am super proud of and truly grateful to be living. This decade, I built my financial life and in later years choose to heal from the trauma gained in the last decade and now I feel well equipped for the future.
2006 - 19, (Glasgow, Scotland), I thought I was grown (look at the cheekbones 🤣🤣) and ready for the world, chiiiild was I wrong, let’s just say, I am still resolving the trauma the decade brought me but I am grateful because I met my best friends and made decisions for the future I wanted to have. (Spoiler alert - I did better than I dreamed).
1996 - 9, (Home, Zambia) this was my birthday but my little sister insisted she had to be the one in the middle. The only way we knew whose birthday it was, was by standing in the middle but this year I remember baby sister crying her eyes out and refusing 🤨
1988 - 9 months, (Chililabombwe, Zambia) although my mother looks tired and traumatised😟, I know I was loved and happy.

{Monthly Roundup} June 2018 Sponsors

Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart – Winnie the Pooh. I love this quote because blogging is a small part but takes a lot of room. This month I will be celebrating 5 years of blogging and it has got me thinking. What am I most grateful for in the entire time of my blogging career? I had to sit down and truly think about what I am most grateful for since I started blogging. To be honest for me it comes down to the readers and companies who took a chance on me.

The June 2018 Sponsors roundup is the sixth appreciation post of the year thanking my Sponsors. A July Dreamer we collaborate with a variety of brands and companies. We do not discriminate whether big or small, A July Dreamer is always happy to collaborate. Visit our Work with Me page to find out our fees and types of collaborations we offer. Thank you everyone for supporting the brands that support me.

Monthly Roundup: June 2018 Sponsors

Every one has a way to like to express their thanks to people who’ve done good for them. For me when it comes to blogging, I thank my sponsors by sharing a dedication post. This allows me to show my gratitude but to also give my readers a chance to read about them. In this post I will mention some of the June 2018 Sponsors that we’ve worked with in the ending month.

When it comes to travel in 2018, I made it my mission to travel with my parents. They have not travelled much in their lives and I wanted to give them that chance to explore. So far we’ve been to Germany, France, Italy and Spain together and I want to expand the inventory. In our recent collaborations I shared a couple of articles; Family Travel Bucketlist – Ideas, Bucketlist Travel: A European Mini Cruise and Bucketlist City – Toronto.

TORONTO

June 2018 Sponsors: Lifestyle Content

Our recent collaboration was with UKDN Water, we shared tips on Home Improvements: Drainage Maintenance. Most of us are well versed on what we should and shouldn’t pour down the drainage system. Those in the UK can go to the Museum of London to see the WhiteChapel fatberg currently on display. This is something we are trying to avoid happening again, hence why we shared some educational tips.

Thanks to Wagamama UK, we were able to sample the Lunch at Wagamama Reading – Summer Menu. We are always grateful to try our new menus in restaurants we ourselves often frequent. I hadn’t been to Wagamama for a couple of months so it was a good way to get back into it. Everything was as I remembered and we had absolutely amazing stuff looking after us.

Wagamama

When I started blogging it was all about sharing my content (annoyances) with the world. Then slowly I started to share my thoughts on products, foods and various items. It was through this that I found I could turn it into a business and 5 years on it is. One thing I learnt early on is I needed a way for clients to pay me for work done. Another thing I learnt a few years later was I need a VA and ways to pay them, Lifestyle Virtual Assistant: Ways to send money abroad.

Fashion Sponsors: June 2018 Sponsors

Everyone has heard of the Royal Ascot and what a social event it is in the UK. Many know about women dressing to impress with out of this world impressive hats. But no one seemed to know that even the men are expected to dress, What to wear to the races – Men’s Fashion. Thanks to Suits Direct we shared some tips on what to wear in each enclosure you are part of.

Summer is well and truly under way, we thought we share Shoes for summer – Top 5 Summer Shoe Trends for 2018. This was a content provision which on A July Dreamer we accept if it matches our ethos. It has been great that in the UK the weather has been absolutely incredible and can’t believe our luck.

When it comes to shopping, I don’t do it often enough these days because I am often traveling. I have found myself spending more money on travels than shopping which is not unusual. But recently I decided to make a few purchases which featured some lingerie from UK Lingerie.

Speaking of Lingerie, the lovely people at Modibodi sent me some period pants to give a try. Here are my Ultimate Period Survival Guide, sharing tips on how I manage my period. It shouldn’t be a gross topic to discuss, we should teach our girls and boys about it.

June 2018 Sponsors: Content Submission

Another content providing came from Happy Beds who shared 5 Top Tips to Enjoy a Good Night’s Sleep. As an insomniac this was important information for me to learn and also share with my fellow insomniacs. There is nothing worse than not having a good night’s sleep or worse not sleeping at all.

Another content contribution came in a form of travel tips on Why Italy is the Perfect Place to Relax This Summer. As someone whose been to Italy a couple of times it was important for me to share more about it. There are plenty of places in Italy I still want to see and this definitely gave me some more flavour.

As a regular traveler I know how boredom can quickly creep in when your flight is delayed. This next content collaboration provides insightful tips; Planning to Spend Time at The Airport? Keep Entertained! I definitely ensure I am prepared for all eventualities as you never know how long you will be stranded for.

summer in the city

City breaks are my bread and butter, it was no brainer when I read this next content. Summer in the City – How to Dress for a Hot City Break, who wouldn’t mind some tips of how to best dress during the summer?

The final content submission came in the form of How to Add Value to Your Home. I know personally this is an important topic as I venture into property buying for my future. It was definitely a good read especially for those looking to sale their property.

June 2018 has definitely been one of my busiest months in terms of sponsorship and collaborations. I am grateful to all the companies that took a chance on A July Dreamer and happy to work again soon.

I wish I had that opportunity before my mom passed away. As for my dad he took my sister and brother on a trip but I wasn’t invited because I am married and have a son. Which at first hurt my feelings but then I knew it was okay because I wouldn’t have wanted to leave my son at home and my dad didn’t want to have children around to keep him from doing what he wanted to when on Vacation.
